BETWEEN THE COVERS
The story.
Sent to Scotland as punishment for her behavior at Canterbury, Lady Deidra Wentworth finds that her title, beauty, and sharp tongue carry little weight with her new companions. Far from the comforts she knows, she begins to reconsider what matters to her. Laird Alec McGregor expects to escort a spoiled English lady, but he is determined to see the woman beneath Deidra’s defenses. Their growing affection leaves Deidra with a choice between the security of her dowry and place in society and a future with Alec. He, in turn, must face her relatives if he hopes to keep her by his side.
